Travel Information for International Participants
About Nigeria
Nigeria, located in West Africa, is a country of over 120 million people comprising 250 ethnic groups speaking 4000 dialects. The Federal Capital is Abuja and has 36 states. The climate is sub-tropical humid and currency is Naira. The official language is English.
 
Climate: Temperature is between 29 – 32 degree centigrade. It is usually tolerable during raining season (April – November), but can be very hot and humid in the dry season.
 
Language: Nigeria is a multi-lingual nation, with English as the official language and more than 250 local languages
 
Traveling to Nigeria
Participants traveling to Nigeria should consult their local Nigerian consulate. GDES will provide a letter of invitation to intending participants, who have registered online for the training. Transportation, accommodation and feeding can be arranged on request. Transportation
There are daily international flights to Lagos from many countries. Major hubs such as London Heathrow, Amsterdam Schipol and Paris Charles de Gaul have daily connecting flights to Nigeria. Several domestic flights operate from different parts of the country to Lagos. Transportation can be arranged to bring participant from Lagos airport to Ibadan (about 120km) and back after the training on request. Cost of transportation is N7,000 (approx. 53 USD).
 
Tuition
Course Fee: Course fee is N30,000 approximately 230 USD per participant. Course fee includes:
  • Tuition
  • Tea/Coffee breaks
  • Lunch
  • Training Manual/CDs
  • RouterOS level 4 License
Accommodation and meals:
On average, it costs N4,000 (approx. 30 USD) per day for meals N9, 200 (approx. 68 USD) per night for accommodation. Intending participants should budget for 5 nights of accommodation at about N66,000 (approx. 500 USD).
 
Payment
Participants can pay cash (US$) on arrival or by wire Transfer. Bank details will be supplied on request
